This video is brought to you courtesy of Fort Hard Knox, my new favorite political blog. Though it was launched just recently, it has already amassed a library of links through their daily "Blog Honor Roll" that should keep any intelligent reader engaged for hours. Warning to liberal wackos, Fort Hard Knox might cause you to break out in convulsions.
Nancy Pelosi’s recent speech on the House floor provides us with an opportunity to understand her “real” position on the war, Iraq, Bush, and the troops. This video will help you to understand the “real” motivations of Nancy Pelosi.

Hm. I used to have this blog bookmarked as a source of interesting commentary. It now seems to have transformed into a pure right-wing soapbox. What happened?
I can understand how it might look as if I have become a right-wing hack, but I can assure you I am still the same moderate voice I have always been. I have never, however, pretended that I was not a Republican. Frankly, I cannot take anyone seriously that actually takes Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid seriously. They are pathetic and anyone who thinks otherwise is blinded by their bias. I try to be very critical of my own party, but sometimes you have to stand up for your party when push comes to shove. I appreciate your comments, and I wish I had more time to blog, but as of late I have focused my energy exclusively on building GOPHub.com, which is a fascinating project that you might enjoy checking out. I will heed these comments as I think about future posts, and I will try to leave my biases at the door from now on. Thanks again.

I'm a Canadian, so this partisan stuff doesn't interest me nearly as much. Both the major US parties are terrible, and personally I think your entire personality-driven system of government should be re-examined. Perhaps under a decent leader the Dems could provide a little balance, but as it stands I can't see a candidate for leadership in either party that clearly deserves their nomination, never mind the presidency.
Looking back, it seems there used to be a lot more variety and scope in your postings, so much so that I missed or dismissed your political bias. I appreciate the site's by-line, but I don't see that represented anymore in your posts. When you start equating Bush's "global war on terror" with the US civil war when it comes to citizens sacrificing their liberties, I think you may have lost perspective.
The GOP leaders don't even listen to the people's representatives in Congress anymore (as evidenced by the recent hearings). Why should the "young, ambitious and articulate" members of the general public expect to be any less marginalized? These people don't need anyone to stand up for them.
By all means, attack Nancy Pelosi and others on the left when they give in to hypocrisy. I think you do a good job dissecting politicans on both sides in these cases. It's just the praise and apologies for the right that get to us wacko liberals.
Now I better understand where you are coming from, and I am glad you took the time to tell me how you feel. I agree with the points you made regarding how my blog has changed over time, and I am glad you have alerted me to this because sometimes I get carried away.
I haven't had much time to write on this blog recently because now that I have graduated university I spend my days working a big-boy job. However, I have been keeping notes on issues and events that I want to go back and comment on, so I will be making updates soon. I hope I haven't discouraged you from reading, as I appreciate everyone who is interested in what I have to say.
Recently I have been especially disturbed by the way Bush has been treated by the media and the Dems, so I have felt the need to stand up for him, because I think the current Republican leadership is basically incompetent and working off an outdated list of talking points.
I don't know many Canadians, and I would like to learn more about your opinions, so I welcome your comments on everything posted here. Do you have a blog that I can add to my links in the sidebar? Thanks again and I look forward to your comments in the future.
